Dirt, Wax, & Sunshine
We woke up early with excitement for our first day of work today. Our cook Annahullia made us an Amazing breatfast of scrambled eggs, galleta y pinta(the main dish), and fresh fruit. Once we arrived at Samulito School, we were split into three groups with different tasks. One group was assigned to sweep and scrup the cafeteria area, another was assigned to dig holes and plant flowers around the campus, and the last was told to fill cement blocks with rocks so as to not waste concrete when it will be poured along the walkway. We quickly found out that the weather can get a little hot, but we kept working until it was time to eat lunch. While we were eating a very skinny dog came up to us and didnt even beg, he just stared... but there wasnt a whimper or anything. a few members of the team fed him bread. After lunch we continued to work then finished around 3ish. When we arrived home alot of us just cooled off, showered, ate dinner then had a wonderful devotion by Beverely. As we settled down for bed our minds were restless about meeting the children...
